Portage Manor was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century to provide housing for county residents who were disabled or elderly and who could not care for themselves or afford housing
Portage Manor's mission continues into the twenty first century to offer a secure, affordable housing alternative to our older citizens and others over the age of 18 that are mentally and/or physically handicapped whose abilities and medical condition limits their independence, and requires 24 hour supervision with medications, meals, and laundry service.
Portage Manor insists that each resident receive the best possible care for the least possible cost in the most ethical manner, regardless of circumstances involving any individual resident including:
- National origin
- Source of payment for service
Portage Manor is dedicated to reflect in all its activities the promotion of health and advancement of growth to the residents we serve in this facility.
